Perennials was birthed out of a punk band dubbed Under Popularity. Drawing influence initially from 70's rock punk glam bands like The Stooges, Lou Reed etc eventually turning towards metal nu metal and metalcore music. Working with famed producer Mark Howard (REM, Iggy Pop, RHCP). The band would later win the prestigious HMA award in their hometown for Rock album of the year for "Alien-sphere"
